This week, Variety published a list of the Best TV Shows of 2025, crafted by critics Alison Herman and Aramide Tinubu.
The four-part ITV series, A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story produced by Silverprint Pictures clinched a worthy spot in Aramide’s Top 10.
The series was described as: ‘A cinematographically stunning series, despite the challenging subject matter, the series illustrates the societal standards of the time and how women like Ruth, despite their best efforts, never stood a chance.’
A Cruel Love shares a place on the list with some of the most talked about shows of the year such as Adolescence, The White Lotus, and Severance - celebrating a wonderful array of talent.
